Twitter Revolution. Episode One: Moldova is a necessary book not only for politologists, sociologists, historians and journalists. It is necessary for the Republic of Moldova itself and for its citizens. The hypothesis that on April 7, 2009 the Moldovan "Bastille" was put on fire is not to be overlooked.
For the first time in the short history of this country, the symbols of the state became symbols of oppression and this represents a first step towards the birth of the nation's political conscience. The despondent masses, determined to change the destiny of Moldova, shouted: "We are the State". From now on, no government will ever be able to ignore this outcry or it will lose its citizens and its country.
Regardless of the interpretation of the April 2009 events, this book, with all its positive qualities and shortcomings, made by scholars and journalists from Moldova and abroad, is the first contribution to this subject.
