Looking back on your path of life you can be very proud of your achievements. I deeply appreciate your political merits, especially your commitment for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Romania. Moreover, your various initiatives and your excellent intellectual publications prove that you are distinguishing yourself as a man with a courageous, critical mind tackling straightforwardly the problems in your home country-for instance the issue of the Roma minority. In particular, I have always cherished your social commitment for orphaned, unprivileged children.
